TAYLOR
Taylor instruments are well known for their quality very much as Avo was and still is, in fact Taylor were very much Avo's competitor.
Taylor instruments are not quite as commonly found as their Avo counterpart. Taylor also supplied government agencies with equipment including the GPO as was.
I was always pinching dad's GPO issue test meter from his tool box. He used to get quite upset when, he arrived on a job and found he had no multi-meter.
It was also not unknown for me to borrow the electric soldering iron. (may as well get caught for a sheep as a lamb) Eventually, he gave up and bought me a meter of my own.
