RADFORD

Arthur Radford started to produce high quality audio equipment in 1961. The company was wound down because of his retirement in 1989. Woodside electronics took over but unfortunately they ended in 2004.

In its heyday Radford employed over 160 personnel, and everything was made in house. This aloud them to have total quality control. The STA12 was based on the Mullard 5/20 because of their expertise this was a very stable amplifier. 5/20's are infamous for breaking into oscillation.
